Request for information issued for $1 billion toward efficient energy implementation.
The Department of Energy (DOE) has published a request for information, seeking public input for rural energy improvements. The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law created the Energy Improvements in Rural or Remote Areas program, a new initiative that makes $1 billion available for energy partnerships between the DOE and rural communities. The department is currently developing the program, and this request for public input will affect how the program will run in the future.
“For America to flourish, rural America must succeed,” said Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm.“Thanks to the President’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, DOE is making critical investments in energy infrastructure that strengthens the foundation of rural communities in America.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For the energy secretary to be led by the Lord as she pursues the administration’s goals.
- For energy officials as they seek public input for the funding for rural energy efficiency.
